The Florida State Seminoles defeated the Iona Gaels, 54-49, on Thursday night in the opening round of the Old Spice Classic. Derwin Kitchen scored 16 points. The Noles will return to action tonight when they will face Alabama in the second round action of the Old Spice Classic.

Here is a history that many Gator fans don't want to hear and will deny, but history is history. Florida State College in Tallahassee fielded its first ever football team in 1902 and recorded a 7-61 record for the next three seasons, which included a 3-1 record of 3-1 against rivals from the University of Florida, formerly known as Florida Agricultural College) in Lake City.

The Florida State Seminoles rallied a 29-26 win over the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday. With the win the Seminoles are now bowl eligible and will extend their nation's best bowl appearance streak to a staggering 28 seasons. Click here to read more

Macon, Ga. - Sophomore Deividas Dulkys led a balanced offensive attack with 14 points and All-American Solomon Alabi led a ferocious defensive effort with five blocked shots to lead undefeated Florida State to an 89-50 victory over Mercer at the University Center. Dulkys led five Seminoles in double figures for the second time in three games and the Seminoles blocked 13 shots, were credited with 11 steals and limited the Bears to 19.7 percent shooting from the field.

The fifth-ranked Florida State (18-4-1) women's soccer team defeated #22 Texas A&M (15-7-3), 2-1, in double overtime on Friday night in Tallahassee to advance to the fourth round of the NCAA Tournament. Jessica Price scored the winning goad with 2:01 left in double overtime to give the 'Noles a 2-1 victory. FSU will face Notre Dame in the fourth round next Friday night, with the game most likely in Tallahassee.
