TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Fifth-ranked Florida State (2-0) broke a 6-6 tie with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to cruise to a 14-7 victory over Georgia State (0-2) Saturday afternoon on Mike Martin Field inside Dick Howser Stadium. All nine starters registered a hit for the Seminoles in front of a packed crowd of 5,392 as FSU improved to 27-2 all-time against the Panthers including a perfect 19-0 record on their home turf. |

The #20 Florida State softball team defeated the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers, 4-0, and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, 12-0, on Friday at JoAnne Graf Field to open the 2010 Seminole Classic.

The Florida State Women's Basketball team improved to 23-4 and 9-2 in ACC playwith a huge victory defeating the Virginia Tech Hokies by a score of 78-68 on Thursday night in Tallahassee. Jacinta Monroe recorded her third double-double in five games with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The start of the 2010 season for the Florida State Seminoles starts tomorrow, February 19th, as they will face a tough schedule this season with ten teams on the schedule that had 30 or more wins in 2009. Seven of the teams on the 'Noles schedule participated in an NCAA Regional last season.
