GREENSBORO, NC- The Florida State track and field teams were able to wrap up a successful second day at the NCAA East Regional Championships before inclement weather hit Greensboro and caused the men’s and women’s steeplechase to be delayed until Saturday. The Seminoles had a near perfect day by qualifying 11 athletes for the next round, six of which who earned a spot at the final site in Eugene. |

After defeating #1 seed Virginia, 11-4, on Thursday and #8 seed Boston College, 12-2, on Friday, Florida State needs Virginia to defeat Miami to advance to the ACC Championship game. The Seminoles opened the tournament with a 9-3 loss at the hands of the Hurricanes, and should Miami win, they would own the tie breaker.

The Florida State Women's basketball team defeated the Saint Johns Red Storm, 66-65, in Tallahassee on Monday night in an overtime thriller to advance to the Sweet 16 Round of the Women's NCAA Tournament.
